(DLG International). This year, the All-Russian Exhibition Centre (VDNH) in Moscow hosted the international exhibition AgroTech Russia from 8 to 11 October. Around 18,000 expert visitors gathered information from 213 companies based in 13 countries regarding the latest developments in the agricultural machinery and equipment sector and processes in plant production.  As in previous years, AgroTech took place as part of the renowned Russian agricultural exhibition "Golden Autumn". AgroTech Russia is organized by DLG International GmbH from Frankfurt am Main and OAO "VDNH" (previously known as the All-Russian Exhibition Centre) in Moscow.

The exhibitors presented new processes in plant production along with modern agricultural machinery and equipment such as tractors, machinery and equipment for soil tillage and crop maintenance, harvesting and transport technology, installations for storing and processing plant products as well as seed, fertilizers, plant protection agents and other farm inputs. An additional important aspect of Agrotech Russia was the spare parts and components area.

A total of 30% of the exhibitors were international. Most of the international exhibitors were from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Poland. However, several companies from countries surrounding Russia also presented their machines, installations and equipment.

The extensive technical programme at AgroTech Russia provided interested circles with a good opportunity to discuss topical questions. The focus was on seed production, organic plant production, investment in fruit and vegetable production, effective technologies for amelioration, resource-efficient production processes and financing.

One highlight was the international agricultural sector investment forum with the theme "Agricultural markets in the CIS countries: integration, investment, prospects" in which high-ranking representatives from Russia and other CIS countries participated.

The next AgroTech Russia will take place on the grounds of the VDNH (Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy, previously known as the All-Russian Exhibition Centre) from 8 to 11 October 2015 in Moscow.
